Song Gang is a Zhuangzi scholar, having studied and then taught at the École normale supérieure in Paris. He has translated into Chinese authors such as Émil Cioran, Jean-François Billeter and Philippe Descola. In 2024, he co-translated into French Le Détachement féminin rouge, a novella by Jiang Yun. With Romain Graziani, he also co-translates Hu Shih’s autobiography and a seminal text by Liang Qichao, forthcoming from Hermits United.
